“The coastal Marine Environment (biotic – abiotic)”
Observations – recordings – samples collection – classification / biodiversity.
Presentation during the day of audiovisual material related to Marine Biology; introduction to Marine Biology / Ecology. There will be discussions on related topics and the students will be posed questions that will be answered during the next day (11/05).

FIELD TASK
During the field exercise the students will collect and select the organisms that they will study. The task will include: (a) collection of 100 individuals; (b) length-weight relationships and biometric analyses; (c) statistical analysis of the results (e.g. size frequency distributions); (d) some selected species will further be analysed for their feeding behavior; (e) writing of report (3 pages) and presentation of the results.
